Complimentary 1 year Warranty for new LDX and GDX Systems

Cholestech provides complimentary worry-free warranty service to the original purchaser for each Cholestech LDX^® System and Cholestech GDX™ System for 1 year from the warranty commencement date.

3-Year Extended Service Contract for LDX System (US only)

At any time during your initial 1-year free warranty, you can extend the coverage on your Cholestech LDX for an additional 3 years for a simple, fixed cost. If you experience a service issue and require replacement of the instrument during this coverage period, you will receive a like-new, refurbished replacement unit in advance of returning the defective unit to Cholestech. We will send you the replacement unit the day you call us. This minimizes downtime and insures uninterrupted testing at your facility. The service contract covers most incidents that require a replacement during the agreement term. Cholestech pays for shipping the replacement product to you and the return of the defective unit to Cholestech. Additionally, you will be eligible for system ROM upgrades at no cost as they become available.

Incidental Service and Repair Options for LDX System (US only)

If your 1-year warranty has expired, there are several additional service and repair options available for your Cholestech LDX system.

• Advance Replacement Option
  On a per incident basis you receive a refurbished replacement for the defective unit in advance of returning the defective unit to Cholestech. The replacement unit will be warranted for one year, Cholestech pays for shipping the replacement product to you and the return of the defective unit to Cholestech. Additionally, you will be eligible for system ROM upgrades at no cost as they become available, during the warranty period.
• Major Repair Option
  Per incident, your defective unit is returned to Cholestech and all reported problems and identified potential problems are repaired. The system ROM will be upgraded to the most current version. Cholestech will cover shipping the repaired unit to you. The repaired unit will be warranted for 90 days.
• Minor Repair Option
  Per incident, your defective unit is returned to Cholestech for repair of minor problems such as battery replacement, failed switches, broken belt or calibration. The system ROM will be upgraded to the most current version. The repair is warranted for 90 days.
